More questions we get every week

How much does a service call cost?

We quote the job, not the hour. A technician diagnoses the problem, then gives you a flat price before any work starts, so you decide with the number in front of you.

My drain keeps backing up even after snaking. Why?

Repeat backups usually mean the line itself is the problem — roots in an older clay or cast iron lateral, an offset joint, or a section that has scaled shut. Clearing it helps for a while; a camera inspection tells you whether a repair or liner is the real fix.

How long should a water heater last around here?

Eight to twelve years for a standard tank. Lowcountry water and well water with iron shorten that, so if yours is past ten and losing capacity, it is worth planning the replacement instead of waiting for a flooded closet.

Do I really need my tankless unit descaled?

Yes, roughly once a year. Scale on the heat exchanger is the number one cause of lukewarm water and error codes on units that are otherwise perfectly healthy.

What should I do first in a plumbing emergency?

Shut off the water — the fixture stop if it is one fixture, the main if it is not — then call us. Knowing where your main shut-off is before you need it saves more damage than anything else we can tell you.

Do you work on homes with wells and septic systems?

We do. On septic properties we diagnose before recommending anything, because a plumbing-side clog and a drain field problem look identical from inside the house and cost very different amounts to fix.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Applle 2 Home Services works under South Carolina plumbing plate CLM.119101 and carries insurance for residential work.
